Tigers Offer 4-Star LB

According to one of the top linebackers in the south, a verbal offer from Clemson was just called in today.

4-star linebacker Chris Donald says a verbal offer was called into his head coach earlier from Clesmon. CUTigers.com has the latest on the talented defender in this recruiting update.

"Yeah Clemson offered today," Donald told CUTigers.com. "They called my coach. Their defensive coach said he liked me a lot and said they thought I would fit in well with their defense.

"Right now I have offers now from Clemson, Ole Mississippi, Tennessee and Mississippi State. I am hearing from lots of schools. Miami, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Florida State and Stanford are a few."

When asked if he has any current favorites, Donald responded, "Tennessee, Clemson and Miami would be my leaders."

A death in the family has prevented Donald from taking visits the past few weeks. "I wasn't able to go to Clemson," he said. "My granddad passed away on Friday. I am going to try to take it easy for a bit."

The 4-star linebacker does plan to visit the Tigers later this spring. "Yeah I am going to try to go to Clemson, Tennessee and Ole Miss later on," he added. What are the strengths of the talented defender? "I am getting recruited as a linebacker. I make my reads well. I am in on most of the plays," responded Donald. "I am going to need to keep working on my quickness. I am also going to try to get stronger."

The prize recruit also said he plans to make a verbal commitment before his senior season with Huntingdon High. "I am going to try to make a decision before the season starts," he said. "I am going to think about it this summer."
