Cooper Talks Clemson's Junior Day

One of the top linebackers in South Carolina took an unofficial visit to Clemson on Saturday. has all the details about his visit in this recruiting update.

6-1, 195 pound linebacker prospect Scotty Cooper traveled to Clemson on Saturday to attend Junior Day. "It was real nice. I really liked the visit," Cooper told upon returning home. "They have a real nice campus. I also liked their graduation rate. You know they graduate 94% of their players. That is second in the country. I also liked the town. It is really a lot like my home."

The Lake City standout enjoyed talking with the coaches during the visit. "Yeah I talked to about all of the coaches," he said. "I got to talk with coach Bowden a lot. We just talked about football stuff. They want me to come back up and watch some games next year. They said they will be keeping up with me next year."

Cooper has now visited both Clemson and South Carolina during the last two weeks.

How would he compare the two schools? "They are both are really nice," he responded. "I liked both the visits. I'm just trying to enjoy everything right now. I'm just happy to be taking trips."

When asked if he had any early favorites in the recruiting process, Cooper responded, "No, I don't have any. I'm just enjoying everything right now."

The hard-hitting defender also has several other visits planned over the next few weeks. "I am going to North Carolina State on March 20th," he said. "I am also going back to South Carolina on March 16th or 17th. I won't be able to come back for the spring game at Clemson because I have to take my ACT that day."

The rising senior does plan to be back at Clemson later this year "Yeah I will be going to the Nike camp at Clemson," stated Cooper. "I'm looking forward to it."
