Scholarship offers continue to flood in for 6-6, 280 pound offensive line prospect Trinton Sturdivant. "I just heard I might be getting an offer from Nebraska. Over the past two weeks I have picked up offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Florida State and Miami," Sturdivant told CUTigers.com Wednesday evening.
When asked about his current favorites, Sturdivant responded, "Clemson, Georgia and Florida are my leaders right now."
The Wadesboro standout will visit a couple of North Carolina schools this weekend. "I think we are planning to go to North Carolina on Saturday," he said. "We will be going to the Scout.com combine at Duke on Sunday. I'm not sure about the other visits for the next few weeks."
Sturdivant also added, "I haven't been to Florida yet. I'm hearing a lot about it. We are thinking about maybe going to Florida and Florida State during spring break in late April."
A decision timeframe is currently unclear for the 4-star lineman. "Wow, sometimes I feel strong about committing tomorrow," he said. "It will be whenever. I would like to make it in September, but I'm not sure if I will be ready. I am getting all of these text messages and letters."
The talented lineman also said he will be attending the Nike camp at Georgia later this spring. "We aren't going to the one at Clemson because it is on a Sunday. The one at Georgia is on a Saturday so my coach wants us to go to that one," he said.
Sturdivant added that he does not have any summer camp plans at this time. "I don't have any. My coach told me that I didn't really need to go to any," he said.
