Q & A with OL B.W. Yates

The latest on Stratford's big offensive lineman B.W. Yates. Yates has already been camping at Wake Forest, what else does he have on the agenda the rest of the summer, and who are his current leaders? Details inside.

OL B.W. Yates stands to be one of top offensive linemen in South Carolina this fall. Yates is projected to play either offensive guard or tackle on the next level. He also carries a 3.2 GPA and projects as a full qualifier.

B.W. has already started receiving interest from Clemson, as well as several other Division I-A schools. Here is the latest on Mr. Yates in another Q & A session.

What are your latest vital stats?
Bench: 290
Squat: 375
Weight: 280
Height: 6'5"

What schools are currently recruiting you the hardest?
Clemson, Virginia, Wake Forest.

Any scholarship offers yet?
None yet.

Tell us a little bit about the camps you've been to so far this year.
Well I went to Wake Forest a few weeks ago. It went pretty good, there were about 300 kids there.

What other camps are you going to this summer?
I don't think I'm going to be able to go to anymore. I've been working two jobs at Pizza Hut and The (North Charleston) Coliseum so I've been real busy lately.

Has Coach West been your main contact from Clemson?
Actually I have just been getting letters from various coahes. I've been getting a lot letters form Coach Burns- he's been my main contact.

Have you been up to clemson lately, and are you planning on going up there soon?
If they want to come there I'll come up.

Who would be your current top 5?
Clemson, Virginia, Wake Forest, LSU and Maryland.

Have LSU and Maryland been in contact a lot lately?
I've been getting some mail from LSU, and Maryland just recently asked me to fill out their questionairre. Clemson, Virginia, and Wake have been in contact the most.
