SC OL Expecting Clemson Offer

In the year of the offensive linemen in South Carolina, Kyle Nunn's name is starting to be mentioned frequently after a standout performance at the Combine in spite of an illness where he lost 15 pounds leading up to the event.

The day after the combine, the Sumter, S.C. offensive lineman picked up his first offer.

"I have an offer from N.C. State," said the 6-foot-6, 260 pounder. "I haven't been to NC State, but they just called [Sumter head] Coach Sorrells , who called me into the office and said somebody wanted to talk to me and it was coach Portee on the phone who offered."

Nunn expects his offer list to increase this summer as he finds out if schools promising scholarships at their summer camps will follow up.

"Virginia Tech, Auburn, and Clemson said they would offer this summer. I just pretty much just have to show up because they want to see me one more time before they offer."

Coach Sorrells sees great talent in his massive tackle as well.

"He is a better player at this point than [former U.S. Army All-American] James Thompson," said Coach Sorrells.

While Nunn does not have any favorites, he does plan on committing early, preferrably before the season.

For now, he is just working on regaining the weight lost and gaining even more offers. Top Stories
