GA RB Visits Clemson checks in with one of many recruits in attendance for Saturday's Orange & White game.

Chamblee, Gaa running back Roddy Jones took an unofficial visit to Clemson over the weekend to take in the Tigers' annual Orange & White game in Death Valley.

"I really liked it," Jones said after the visit. "It was really cool. I got to talk with the coaches and see facilities.

"I went up with one of my teammates Ivan Sharpe, his parents and my father. My dad really liked it. He really liked the improvements they are making to the stadiums. The stadium is already great, but it will be even nicer."

What did the Georgia standout enjoy the most about the visit to Tiger Town? "I liked seeing the game in the stadium," he responded. "They already have one of the best stadiums in the country. It is already a great environment to play football."

The Chamblee High star also spent time speaking with the Clemson coaching staff during the visit. "Yeah we talked about how things are going this spring," he said. "I am playing baseball so the coaches asked me how baseball was going."

Several ACC schools have already offered the talented running back. "I have offers from Duke, Georgia Tech and Maryland," Jones said. "Clemson didn't really talk about an offer this weekend."

When asked if he has any current favorites in the recruiting process, Jones responded, "I do. Georgia Tech is probably my favorite right now. Then I would say Georgia, Florida and probably LSU. I am going back to Tech for their spring game later this month."

And about a timeframe for a verbal commitment?

"I am going to make a commitment before the season," Jones added. "I want to get it out of the way so I can concentrate on winning football games." Top Stories
