One of the top middle linebacker prospects in the south this year is Berkeley High School product Ryan Brown. Brown suffered an ankle injury 4 games into the season last year, but he made a full recovery to play in the last 2 games of the season. Brown finished with 74 tackles and 4 sacks, and he will be one of the top linebackers in the south this year.
Brown just came off an impressive camp showing at South Carolina, but he doesn't look to be taking any more visits this summer. "South Carolina is my only camp this summer. I'm pretty wide open when it comes to college. My favorite schools right now are South Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Nebraska, and North Carolina. Like I said though, I'm pretty wide open."
Brown is a prototype middle linebacker prospect at the next level. At 6-2 and 240 pounds he has excellent quickness and lateral movement. He has the physical ability to play early at the next level.
