With a good breeze and outstanding athletes, there was little doubt that we were going to see some fast times in the 40 yard dash. The athletes that worked in our visit to the Peach State didn't disappoint. Eric Berry of Creekside, who had a Top 5 time as a sophomore at the Scout.com Combine took the honors again with a blistering 4.31 forty.

Berry's forty time should not be used as a benchmark though, he's one of only about five guys that we've timed in two years to break 4.40. Any time under 4.60 is fast enough to play corner in the NFL if a player knows how to play ball, and here is a look at some of the fastest players in Atlanta on Saturday.

The Short Shuttle is arguably the best way to judge football speed. One can have a fast forty and not be a good football player, but without fail, the best players on the field, post good shuttle times. It measures lateral movement... gamespeed.

The L-Cone or 3 Cone drill is a figure eight that most players are not used to doing, and this drill maybe more than any other reveals a player's athleticism as he changes direction. Whip the L-Cone, you'll whip your opponents. Here are the masters of the L-Cone.

The Vertical jump is basically a test of explosion and power. Technique is huge here. Each player will be tested by a machine that will measure how high your fingers touch when going directly up in the air. The vertical jump is the most important for receivers and defensive backs.

Football Combines and only posting the top times does a disservice to the most important players on the field... the linemen. The offensive and defensive lines are the heart and soul of the football teams, and we'd be remiss not to point out some of the top testers amongst the big men:
