WHY CLEMSON? "It definitely feels like home. Coach Spence is great," Wade said. "He knows so much about the quarterback position. Our personalities really match. He is a good Christian man, and I just like what I see in him. I think he will be a great mentor and tutor. I wouldn't want to spend the next five years with anyone else. I have been going there since I was real young. I grew up around the campus. I was riding bikes on weekends around Clemson when I was younger."

COACH BLACKWELL SAYS: "Michael Wade at quarterback is a local guy that has a Clemson background. His dad played football here; his mom was on the volleyball team here. He is a quality class act and was a guy coming out of spring evaluation off of junior film that Coach Spence had in the top three of all the quarterbacks on our recruiting board just off of tape. And then we bring him in to camp and work him out and he elevated himself into an offer. Coach Spence is the quarterback coach and made the decision to offer him, and we are excited to have him."
