Gaddis Has Tigers #1

C.J. Gaddis is one of the fastest rising quarterback prospects in the south this year, and he has the Clemson Tigers listed as his current favorite. Gaddis has lit up the tracks at different camps including a 4.33 forty time at Clemson and a 4.3 at North Carolina.

He has the type of athleticism to play several different positions, but his first choice is quarterback.

"About 2/3 of the teams are recruiting me at quarterback, and the other 1/3 is talking to me about coming in as an athlete," said Gaddis. "I'd like a shot at quarterback."

Gaddis is a spectacular baseball player who will have 2 sports to choose from at the next level. "Baseball was my first love, but I think I may be a better football player. I think though, that if I put my mind to it, I can play both sports at the highest level. I'd like to try and play both in college if I can." Gaddis batted .436 with 7 home runs last year and set a school record with 26 stolen bases.

Gaddis has been to the Clemson and the North Carolina camps and may go to some more 1 day camps in July, but he's got a clear leader already. "Clemson is my favorite team. I'd say after that it would be North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and South Carolina." Gaddis has offers from all of his favorites.

Gaddis' team went 5-6 last year, but with a senior class of 20 players, Hoke County could be a force to be reckoned with this year. "I want to lead my team to the state title. Personally, I'd like to break 1,000 yards rushing and 1,000 yards passing. We put some shot gun in last year to mix things up a little bit."

With his speed and athleticism, reaching his goals is a distinct possibility. Top Stories
