Lineman Expecting Clemson Offer

Williamson (Ala.) tight end Nick Fairley had the most impressive performance at the All-American combine in Tuscaloosa Saturday, April 29.

Fairley tested extremely well and completely dominated the one-on-one competition as he walked away as the MVP of the combine.

"I liked the combine a lot," said Nick Fairley from Mobile, (Ala.). "I liked how it was a small combine, [in groups] and I was able to get a lot of reps. They showed me a few new techniques."

"I thought I did all right. I think I could have done a lot better."

Maybe so, Mr. Fairley, but measuring 6-3.5, 256-pounds and running a 4.81 forty-yard-dash is not all bad.

Fairley holds four scholarship offers, and expect that number to increase following his combine performance.

"Right now I have offers from LSU, West Virginia, Kansas State and Auburn. Auburn was the last school to offer me. They offered about three weeks ago. I feel like Louisville and Clemson are close to offering me as well.

When asked to name favorites Fairley replied, "My favorites are the four schools who have offered me."

Fairley holds a 2.8 GPA and will take the ACT June 8.
