4-star TE Planning Clemson Visit

Thanks to the recruiting efforts of tight end coach Billy Napier, 4-star tight end Rob Gronkowski is planning an unofficial visit to Clemson. Where do the Tigers stand with the New York standout? CUTigers.com has all the details in this recruiting update.

The offer list continues to grow for the 6-6, 250 pound prospect. "I recently added offers from North Carolina, Rutgers and Temple. That gives me about 20 offers," Gronkowski told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked if he has any current favorites, Gronkowski responded, "Maryland, Arizona, Clemson, Florida and Boston College are at the top right now."

Coach Napier is recruiting the Williamsville North standout for the Tigers and to get him on campus soon for a visit. "I like Clemson, but I have not been down there. I plan to go down there sometime in the next month," he said.

What will be the most important factors when the talented tight end selects a college? "I am looking for a good football program. I am also looking for a school with a top 20 business school," replied Gronkowski.

Distance will not be important to the New York standout. "It doesn't really matter," stated Gronkowski.

Family bloodlines give Maryland an advantage for the 4-star tight end. "I have two brothers at Maryland now. I could play with them if I decide to go to Maryland."

The Terps look to get the only summer camp appearance from the star tight end. "I am going to camp at Maryland this summer. That is all."

Which team is recruiting Gronkowski the hardest at this time? "It would probably be Clemson. They are recruiting me real hard," responded Gronkowski.

Don't expect an early commitment from the prize recruit. "I will probably wait until the end of the season or possibly during the season. I want to take some official visits first."
