The 5-star defender is working hard to prepare for early playing time next fall. "The workouts are coming real good. I am planning to get up to 235 pounds before July. Right now I am about 228," Sapp told

The next two months can't pass quickly enough for the prize recruit. "I am excited to get started. I can't wait to get there in July."

What is Sapp looking forward to the most about getting to Clemson? "I am just ready to get starting working out with the team. I want to get to know my teammates. I am also looking forward to getting to play early. I am ready to play," responded Sapp.

The Army All-American built a good relationship with C.J. Spiller in San Antonio last year. "I have been talking with C.J. a good bit. I am not sure who I will be rooming with yet. Hopefully it will be C.J. and Darius Gaither."

The prize recruit expects his Bamberg Ehrhardt teammate Daquan Bowers to join him in Tiger Town in a couple of years. "Oh definitely. I am going to tell you right now I already got him. Remember I was right on C.J. Spiller. You can trust me on this one."

What are your goals for your first season at Clemson? "I just want to jump in and help the team. I want to win the ACC Championship this year. I definitely want to be a freshman All-American," replied Sapp.

The star defensive end is looking forward to learning from one of the nation's best defensive ends, Gaines Adams. "I was hoping he was going to stay this year. I wanted to be able to learn from his this year. I watched him a lot last season. He is a great player. Hopefully he can teach me the ropes." will continue to keep you updated on this future Tiger defender. Top Stories
