Ko Simpson is a sure tackling prospect from Rock Hill, SC. He racked up 112 tackles and 4 interceptions at free safety for a powerful Rock Hill team that went to the upper state championship.
Simpson has been to the Clemson camp this summer, and that will conclude his camp tours. "We're ready to get started," said Simpson. "We're concentrating on next season. We went 11-3 last year, and we're looking to get back there this year. I went to Clemson earlier this summer, but that's it. My favorite teams right now are South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida State, North Carolina, and Clemson."
Simpson plays free safety and wide receiver in high school, and he could do both at the next level. Free safety is his natural position, and that's where he will most likely end up in college.
Ko, which is short for "Yukota," also plays wide receiver for Rock Hill. On offense, he caught 25 balls for 495 yards and 3 touchdowns, while playing in an offense that is predominantly run-oriented.
School Preferences: South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida State, North Carolina, Clemson.
Summer Camps: Clemson
Junior Stats: 112 Tackles and 4 INT's, 548 yards receiving and 3 TD's
