4-Star DE Leaves Clemson Impressed

The Clemson Tigers looked to continue their recent recruiting hot streak today as a powerful 4-star lineman visited campus for an unofficial visit. CUTigers.com spoke with the star defender as he returned home and we've got all the visit details in this recruiting update.

DE Travian Robertson Profile

The 6-4, 220 pound prospect traveled to Clemson on Monday for the very first time.

"I came down with my parents and my coach. It was a real good visit. We walked around the facilities. I got to look at everything. We checked out the campus," Robertson told CUTigers.com. "I met with coach Rumph and coach Napier. Coach Napier is my recruiter. I got to meet with both of them a good bit today."

Robertson said that two things really stood out to him today during his visit.

"I would say the facilities would be one," he said. "The stadium improvements were nice. I would also say the nice academic center they have for all of the student athletes.

"That was definitely a plus for Clemson because I hadn't seen them before."

When asked if there are any changes in his top four schools, Robertson responded, "I really don't know. I am kind of confused right now. I am trying to keep everything simple. I have seen all of the schools the last two weeks."

What will be most important to the 4-star defensive end when he makes his final decision? "I just want to go where there are people I can trust. I want to find a good place to stay," replied the talented defensive end.

"Distance will not be an issue for the favorites I have now. It could be for new offers, but not for the four schools I like now."

And what about an updated timeframe? "I will probably decide by the end of July or early August," he said. "I want to get it over before I start back to school."

Which school is recruiting Robertson the hardest at this time? "Everybody is about the same. I am hearing a lot from all of them. They all have different ways of recruiting. Some get on your nerves every five minutes. Some just contact you every couple of weeks," he replied.

"But right now I am going to take a break so I can get a chance to hit the beaches."
