Clemson's First "G-Back?"

Clemson fans are eagerly awaiting Rendrick Taylor's performances at the newly created J-back position. Could 4-star prospect Greg Little be the next Tiger to have a position created around his skills? has the latest on one of the top athletes in the southeast in this recruiting update.

The biggest challenge for the school that eventually lands 4-star athlete Greg Little, is what position best suites his skills. "Schools are recruiting me as a receiver and running back. They are looking for me to motion in and out of the backfield," Little told in a recent interview.

Interestingly enough, Clemson tight ends coach Billy Napier has already shared Clemson's plans with Little.

"Yeah they have talked to me about the new position that Rendrick Taylor is playing. Coach Napier said if I come to Clemson they will call it the G-back. So I am interested in how they would use me."

When asked about his current favorites, Little responded, "Right now, I really don't have any. I will probably narrow it down over next couple of months.

"I will hope to schedule some visits to help me narrow things down. I will be looking at the coaching staffs. I will also be looking at playing time and academics. I will look at what value the degree holds in the corporate world."

As far as his summertime camp plans go, Little made one visit during the past week, but he has no other visits planned at this time.

"I went to the N.C. State camp recently," he said. "I don't have any other visits planned for now. I don't really have any summer plans. I am just going to be working out to get ready for next year."

Despite his unwillingness to name a top five, as reported by less than 24 hours ago, Little has already picked out a date to announce his decision. "I am going to have a press conference on October 6. That is when I will announce my decision," he said.

Which teams are recruiting Little the hardest at this time? "I would say Notre Dame, Southern California, Florida, North Carolina, Clemson, Michigan and Virginia," responded Little. will continue to keep you update on this outstanding athlete from North Carolina, right up through signing day.
