What he lacks in size, he makes up for in quickness, and that's what is going to make him valuable to someone on the next level.
Powell plays running back and corner in high school, and corner looks to be his best position in college. With his quickness (4.3 shuttle) and burst (10.6 100 meters), returning kicks seems to be a natural fit as well. He had 18 touchdowns last year with over 1,500 yards from scrimmage, including more than 100 rushing.
Powell has been busy at camps this summer as well. "I've been to North Carolina, NC State, East Carolina, and South Carolina this summer. If I had to name a top 5 right now it would be UNC, NC State, ECU, Virginia, and Clemson, but I'm pretty much wide open."
Wide open is a good way to describe the lightning fast Powell on the field as well.
