Bowden Talks 2006 Season

CLEMSON - "When I met with the team last Thursday, starting the second summer session I told them we lost to Georgia Tech by one point. Had we beaten them by one point ... we would have played in the ACC Championship game. James Davis was out that game. Was he worth one point? We introduced our freshmen and asked the question, are one of these guys worth one point?"

Have you talked to Roman Fry personally and how is he doing if you have?
Bowden: Yes. He's good. I think ya'll have done a good job of covering it since yesterday. I would kind leave it at that. But I talked to Roman and he's doing good. I'm not going to get into a bunch of questions on that. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on that in respect for the family.

Are all of your freshmen all in yet?
Bowden: All but I believe, DeAndre McDaniel. That's official. The receiver- Kendrick (Johnson) and Jo Jo Cox. They are not here yet. They will likely be here. They just haven't enrolled. They just got their paperwork done a little too late for second session summer school. They'll likely be here. It's just dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's" from the Clearinghouse.

Any injuries to report with your team headed into the start of practice?
Bowden: Just Donnell Clark is the only one that did not go through spring, and Zach Green didn't go through spring but both are on course to participate once we start. Aaron Kelly should be all right. All indications from the medical staff are that he has recovered.
