2003 Profile: OL Chris Capps

Chris Capps is 6-feet 6-inches tall, weighs in at 260 pounds, and runs a 5.0 forty. The rising senior from Landmark Christian School in Fairburn, GA has good feet and the frame to add several dozen pounds to become an anchor at left tackle.

Chris Capps is a tall lineman with vast potential. At 6-6 and 260 pounds, Capps has excellent feet and runs a true 5.1 forty and has been clocked as low as 5.0.

His wingspan and ability to put on another 40-50 pounds in the next 5 years will make him particularly intriguing to coaches across the south. Capps graded out at over 90% as a junior offensive lineman, and he will get the chance to play a little nose guard this year as well.

"I've been pretty busy this summer," laughed Capps. "I've been to camps at Georgia, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Alabama. I'm wide open when it comes to where I want to go to school, but if I had to pick my favorites now, I guess I would say Auburn, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Mississippi State, Clemson, and Georgia."

Capps does not have any formal offers yet, but with good feet and plenty of room to grow, it won't be long before a school offers on his potential. Top Stories
