Will first off what a win last week against Florida State, I know your confidence has to be at an all-time high right now?
Proctor: It is. But we know we've got a tough game coming up Saturday against North Carolina. We know they are a good team and we also know that these are the kinds of games that have come back to haunt us the last couple of seasons.
It seems like that's been the theme of the week with this team. How do you avoid the letdown?
Proctor: Well it was addressed immediately after the Florida State game. The seniors got together and wanted to make everybody understand that these are the type of games that come back to haunt us and we don't want to let that happen this year.
So is it up to the seniors then to make sure you guys don't lose a game you are supposed to win?
Proctor: I just think when the other guys see the older guys on the team preparing like we did last week, or even against Boston College, that we have to prepare the same kind of way this week to get the results we want.
What does North Carolina do defensively that may cause you problems Saturday?
Proctor: They bring a lot of pressure. They are extremely fast. Anytime you play an ACC opponent you are typically going to face a fast defense. Hopefully we'll have something ready for them.
It seemed like that game could have gone either in the fourth quarter against Florida State. But how much easier is it to get out there and practice this week with a win as opposed to a loss?
Proctor: Yeah, absolutely. Anytime you win the next week of practice is going to go a lot better. We went from the lowest of lows against BC to coming in this week with a smile on your face everywhere you go. We understand our goals of winning the ACC are back where they need to be.
Do you feel like you are in the driver's seat now to get to Jacksonville after beating FSU?
Proctor: I wouldn't say driver's seat. I'd say we are in the car about ready to get in the front seat. Trying to steer. We are close but we understand we have to win against North Carolina to take that next step.
