The 6-2, 205 pound prospect visited Death Valley on Saturday where he watched the Tigers shutout Louisiana Tech.

"It was a good visit. I went up with my dad and a friend," Smith told CUTigers.com. "Clemson was very good. They were very athletic. They pretty much dominated the game."

How did Smith like the Clemson defense?

"They played well," he said. "The secondary was pretty big. I liked seeing that."

Clemson graduate assistant Paul Hogan spent a good bit of time with Smith and his father.

"After the game I met with coach Hogan and he showed me around," he said. "Then I pretty much got to meet with all of the coaches in the locker room after the game."

The star defender took a short tour Sunday morning before leaving town.

"I went back over Sunday morning and coach Hogan showed me around some more. The weight room was very impressive," he said. "It was a really neat stadium. I liked the new WestZone. It was bigger than I thought. The stadium was real tall. I like how came in down the hill."

When asked about his current favorites, Smith responded, "Tennessee and Notre Dame are my favorites."

Did the visit to Tigertown have any impact on his favorites?

"I was just coming to check everything out. I don't really see anything changing right now. I don't really know when I will be ready to commit," stated Smith.
