Pilgrim Still Loves Clemson

Brandon Pilgrim is tough to miss on the field of play. At 6-6 and 270 pounds with fiery red hair, Pilgrim is tough to miss anywhere. At Thursday's practice Pilgrim displayed the skills that have earned him multiple division 1 offers.

Going against smaller defensive ends, Pilgrim showed tremendous quickness and footwork to keep his man away from the quarterback. Like many of his teammates, Pilgrim has been working hard at practice this summer and at camps across the south.

"I went to Clemson, Georgia, and Middle Tennessee State for camps," said Pilgrim. " wanted to go up to Virginia, but I had a conflict with my schedule. We had individual testing last week, and I ended up with a 315 bench, 335 power clean, and a 435 squat." When it was noted that the Parkview team had amazing power clean numbers, Pilgrim agreed. "Our coach believes in having a strong core and good hips, so he really pushes us on the cleans."

Pilgrim has several offers including Clemson, USF, Virginia, Northwestern, MTSU, and Tulane, and he lists several of those schools among his leaders. "I like Clemson the best right now. Georgia would probably be #2 if they offered, but I haven't gotten one from them. Then I also like Virginia, MTSU, and Northwestern."
