Low Country DE Drawing Massive Interest

One of the top junior prospects in South Carolina is hearing from some of the top programs in the nation. Will the star defender be in Death Valley this weekend to take in the Tigers game against Georgia Tech? CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

DE Robert Quinn Profile

Ft. Dorchester's Robert Quinn, a 6-4, 240 pound prospect is having an outstanding junior season.

"Our season is going good," Quinn said. "We are 5-2 on the year. I have like five sacks and over 60 tackles so far."

On the recruiting front, Quinn has seen two SEC showdowns so far this fall.

"I haven't been anywhere lately," he said. "But I did go to the South Carolina game against Georgia. I also saw the Tennessee game against Florida. I am just playing it week by week. Clemson has asked me to come up this weekend but am not sure. I don't know if we are doing anything this weekend or not."

In terms of top schools, when asked about his current favorites, Quinn responded, "I like Tennessee, South Carolina, Clemson, Auburn, Georgia and North Carolina. I am hearing a lot from Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, South Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and North Carolina."

The junior standout has previously stated that he will go wherever his teammate Carlos Dunlap goes, but that may not necessarily still be the case.

"I wouldn't mind playing with Carlos. It will depend on where he is going. He talks about Florida a lot, but I'm not sure where he is going," he said.

What will be important to Quinn when he decides on a college?

"I don't want to move too far away from home," he said. "I will look at the football program and how the coaches can help me with my life outside of football. I will look to see what they offer to help me get through college."

Which teams are recruiting Quinn the hardest at this time?

"Lately I have heard the most from Auburn, Tennessee and North Carolina," he added.
