Despite the fact that John Bunting will step down as North Carolina's head coach at the end of the 2006 season, 4-star running back Ryan Houston says he remains committed to the Tar Heels as of Sunday evening.

"I am going to stick with my commitment to North Carolina for now," he said. "It is too early to tell if I will open things back up. I might take some other official visits."

Several schools are working hard to be in position if Houston opens his recruitment, including Clemson.

"Right now I am still hearing a lot from Clemson, Tennessee, Louisville and Florida," he said.

Houston visited Clemson unofficially in September, taking in the Tigers' 52-7 win over the Tar Heels.

The North Carolina native had another impressive performance for Butler High Friday night.

"Yeah we won 25-13 this week," Houston said. "I had 150 yards and one touchdown." Top Stories
