TE Rob Gronkowski Profile
Rob Gronkowski, a 6-6, 250 pound tight end prospect out of the Pittsburgh area will be in Death Valley on Saturday to watch the Tigers battle Maryland.
"I will be coming down with my dad. My dad has never been to Clemson so we are leaving around seven on Saturday morning. We will be flying into Greenville and then leaving Sunday," Gronkowski told CUTigers.com.
What does the star tight end hope to see Saturday?
"I really want to see a good game day atmosphere. I want to talk with the coaches. I want to get to see the campus and the facilities," replied Gronkowski.
The four-star tight end has maintained he'll likely wait until after the season to make a decision in the recruiting process, and that still seems to be the case today.
"My decision won't be for a while," Gronkowski said. "I want to wait and take my official visits after the season."
In a previous interview Gronkowski did not mention Maryland among his top schools, but the Terps are still in the mix.
"They never really dropped out," he said. "They are playing better. They are really impressing me. It should be a good game Saturday."
The prize recruit also said he plans to be back in Clemson after the New Year.
"I will take my official visit to Clemson in January. The other schools getting official visits are Syracuse, Ohio State, Arizona and Maryland=," Gronkowski added.
