Clemson Baseball Alumni Weekend Times Set

Over 200 former Tigers to be on hand for festivities, which includes the Alumni Game on Friday at 6:00 PM.

Clemson will hold its second Alumni Baseball Weekend starting Friday. Over 200 former Clemson baseball players will be on hand for the reunion, including current Major Leaguers along with former Tigers and coaches from eight different decades. Over 100 of the alumni will participate in the alumni game, which begins at 6:00 PM on Friday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

The schedule of events for the weekend includes a golf tournament (for the baseball alumni only) at Boscobel Country Club on Friday morning. From 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, there will be an autograph session where fans can meet the alumni. From 4:15 to 5:15 PM, there will be batting practice for former players participating in the alumni game. At 5:45 PM, the former Tigers will be introduced to the fans. Then at 6:00 PM, the alumni game will begin at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The alumni game festivities are open and free to the public.

Saturday at 9:30 AM at the TigerZone at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, there will be a tailgate picnic (for baseball alumni only) to conclude the weekend festivities. The Tiger football team will then take on N.C. State on Saturday at 12:00 PM.

This year's Alumni Weekend is the second-such event, as the first one took place in 2003. Top Stories
