Florida DT Taking Official to Clemson

This weekend Clemson will host one of the top defensive tackles from Florida for an official visit. With a decision coming in the next few weeks the visit is critical to the Tigers' chances. CUTigers.com has the details in this recruiting update.

DT Ian Williams Profile

6-1, 290 pound defensive tackle prospect Ian Williams will take his final official visit of the recruiting process this weekend when he makes a trip to Clemson to see the Tigers face off with archrival South Carolina.

"I am going to Clemson this weekend for an official visit. I'm not sure if I will take any more official visits after that," Williams told CUTigers.com in an interview earlier this week.

The Lyman High (Fla.) standout says he is eager to see Death Valley.

"I have never been to Clemson," said Williams. "I am just looking forward to having a good time. I want to see the campus and everything. I want to see what everything is about up there.

"I have been to Ole Miss, Auburn and Notre Dame already."

When asked if he has a current leader, Williams responded, "Auburn would be my leader right now."

What would it take for another team to pull ahead of Auburn? "I don't know for sure. I am still sort of open," said Williams. "I will make a decision by early December. I want to go ahead and get it done." What will be most important when the prize recruit makes his decision in a few weeks?

"I just want to go where I feel at home. I want to go where I feel most comfortable," replied Williams.
