Larry Asante, a 6-1, 225 pound linebacker prospect out of Coffeyville Community College spent Thanksgiving with friends before heading for an official visit to Nebraska.

"I went over to some friends for Thanksgiving. We had a good time," Asante told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The 4-star linebacker will take his last official visit to Clemson in December.

"Right now I am planning on going to Clemson on December 15. I am also going to Arkansas on December 8," he said.

Clemson defensive coordinator Vic Koenning would like to convince Asante to follow his former teammate, Chris Russell, to Clemson.

"Yeah Coach Vic is recruiting me for Clemson. He also recruited my ole buddy Chris Russell. Chris and I are good friends. I would like to play with Chris again," he said.

When asked if he has a favorite, Asante responded, "I don't have a favorite right now. I will take all of my visits and then decide."

The JUCO standout will enroll at the college of his choice in January.

"I am mid-year guy, I will graduate on December 15," Asante added. "I will go straight from graduation to my visit and Clemson."
