Ross Looking Hard at Clemson

Tristen Ross (6-1, 191, 4.52) of Shreveport Evangel Christian, Louisiana is quickly emerging as one of the top wide receivers in the deep south. After changing his mind on a verbal commitment to Oklahoma, Ross is back in the recruiting game and looking hard at Clemson.

Tristen Ross orginally commited to the Oklahoma Sooners earlier this year before changing his mind and getting back into the recruiting scene. Ross has all the physical tools to succeed at the Division I-A level, including a 37 inch vertical jump with 4.45 speed.

Ross is currently listed as a 4-star prospect, and he is ranked as the #32 prospect in the country at wide receiver. Ross is also projected as a full qualifier with a 3.0 GPA and qualifying score on his ACT. Here is the latest one of top wide receivers in the country in our latest edition of Q & A.

What schools are recruiting you the hardest now that you haven't committed to OU?
Ross: The schools that I've heard the most from the most would have to be Clemson, Ohio State, Tennenssee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech.

Which Clemson coaches have been in contact with you?
Ross: Coach Stockstill called me in May and we talked about me maybe coming out for a visit come this season.

Have you ever been to a game at Clemson or do you know anything about the Tigers?
Ross: I've never been to a Clemson game but I would like to come to one. I followed Clemson when Rod Gardner and Woody Dantzler were there and they had a pretty good program.

Which schools will you going to see on an official visit?
Ross: I really don't know right now where I want to take my official visits but I'm willing to go to what ever school is showing me interest. I don't know right now.

Do you have a timetable for when you would like to make a decision regarding where you'll be going to school?
Ross: I'll make my decision a after I sit down with my familly and discuss whatever is best for me and what offense I feel fits me and can use me.

Who would be your current top 5?
Ross: My top five right now would have to be Texas, Oklahoma, Clemson, Tennessee, and Michigan.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
Ross: My goals for this upcoming season would have to be to lead my team to a undefeated season and win another state championship. We've got a lot of young players but I think they'll come along as the season goes on.
