LB Lorenzo Edwards Profile
Lorenzo Edwards, a 6-2, 220 pound linebacker prospect took his final official visit of the recruiting process to Clemson over the weekend.
"I really enjoyed myself. I liked the players. I got to hang out a lot with everybody. They were all really nice," Edwards told CUTigers.com. "The coaches were all very sincere. I liked that."
Clemson safety Michael Hamlin was Edwards' host during the official visit.
"We got along great," he said. "He was a great guy. He is really humble and down to earth. He reminded me of myself."
Edwards also had the following to say about the atmosphere at Saturday's Clemson-Carolina game.
"The atmosphere was excellent. Clemson fans sure love Clemson. You know that is great how much they love Clemson football. You can see everyone cheering and everything like that. It is crazy."
When asked about what he would be looking for his collegiate destination, Edwards responded, "I am going to college. The academic part is very important. The guy I spoke with at Vickery Hall was really informative. He answered all of our questions. I just want to evaluate each school thoroughly. I want to see which place fits me the best."
How did Edwards rate the visit on a scale of one to ten? "I would give it an 8," replied the 4-star defender. "Right now I am just going to wait until I announce my decision on January 6 at the U.S. Army All American game. I will have to make my decision before then. I will pray about the decision and then hopefully make a great decision."
