One of the nation's top running back prospects has changed his commitment timing. When will Clemson fans and others find out where the 5-star running back will play next season? CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

RB Joe McKnight Profile

The nation's No. 4 running back according to Scout.com just finished his senior season with John Curtis Christian (La.) with a bang.

"We won the state championship. I had two touchdowns in the game," McKnight told CUTigers.com.

The prize recruit had hoped to make his announcement during the U.S. Army All American game, but those plans have changed.

"I am going to wait until I take all my visits," he said. "I will take my visits after I get back from the All American game. I am going to start scheduling them this week." Obviously, the month of January will now be filled with trips as McKnight works towards a decision.

"I am going to take visits to Southern California, LSU, Clemson and Arkansas," stated McKnight. "They are all pretty much even."

What does he like about his top schools?

Southern California: "They put the ball in the playmakers hands."

LSU: "They are in the SEC. It is close to home. The SEC is the best conference."

Clemson: "I like coach Burns. He has a great relationship with several of my coaches."

Arkansas: "I just like Arkansas. I have a lot of friends up there."

If signing day was today, where would the 5-star running back sign? "I really don't know. I haven't made up my mind yet," replied McKnight. CUTigers.com will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from Louisiana, right up through signing day.
