LB Stanley Hunter Profile

What is the news from the doctor visits today?
Hunter: Well I had to take an x-ray this morning so I missed the first half of practice this morning. I came back and was able to watch the second half of that. They setup an appointment this afternoon for me to take an MRI. That came back good so I will be back at practice tomorrow morning.

What was your injury?
Hunter: I am not even hurt. They just had to take precautions because they asked us if we had any existing injuries ever and I told them about my knee. I shouldn't have said anything. I had passed three physicals. They still said they needed to take precautions and everything. I understand. I called my parents and grand parents and let them know what was going on. I will be back tomorrow.

How excited are you to get to practice in the morning?
Hunter: Man I can't wait. The defense is pretty good it looks like. I just want to be a part of it. I can't wait to get out there.

What did you think of Scotty Cooper and how he dominated practice today?
Hunter: He is pretty good man. I can't wait to get out there with him. The chemistry we have built already. It is not just him but the rest of the defense. We are so close already. We have gotten to know each other outside of football. Just getting to know about each others lives. It is a great experience so far. I can't wait to practice with them.

How nice is it to be playing with eight of your future teammates this week?
Hunter: It is amazing. Like I said we are building some great chemistry. We just want to carry it on to Clemson.

Have you been doing any recruiting this week?
Hunter: We are after a lot of those guys. We are after Culliver and Jones. I told them just to come on down to Clemson. They are pretty good athletes.

What are your goals for the game Saturday?
Hunter: My goal for Saturday is just to have fun. Obviously I already have my offer down pat and my commit so I just want to make sure those other guys have fun. I know a lot of them are nervous about the scouts that will be here. I just tell them to go out there and have fun. It is all for the kids. I am just going to have fun out there.

How did you enjoy the visit to the hospital?
Hunter: It was amazing. It makes you realize how fortunate you are. Just like that god could have chosen you to be in the hospital. It is a blessing to know that by the grace of god we are here. Just to see those smiling faces when we walked through the door was a blessing. A feeling just came through my body that you can' really put into words. You can't explain it. It is not like a game winning touchdown or anything. It is just something you can't explain. It is just amazing to see a little kid in a wheelchair. He many not know what is wrong with him, but he knows he loves football. I can't wait to get out there and play for them. It is such a blessing. I called my parents and let them know I loved them. My parents played a big role in taking care of me when I was small so I wanted to let them know.

What are you going to do without your good friend Willy next semester?
Hunter: There are definitely going to be less laughs during school. He is a clown. Every time I see him or his buddy Chad they are always laughing. I can't wait to get down there and see how they are doing. I am happy for them. I hope everything goes well with them learning the system and getting into the rotation. Me and Chad will be waiting to join them. Top Stories
