RB Ryan Houston Profile

How did you enjoy your first day of Shrine Bowl practice?
Houston: It was alright. It is more like a game like situation. Everybody is good. There is nobody sorry on this team.

How do you think they will use you this week?
Houston: I hope they use me a lot because I am a big physical running back. In this offense they will put a fullback in front of me. At my school I don't have a fullback in front of me.

Do you think the offense will run the ball a lot Saturday?
Houston: We should run the ball a lot. We only have four receivers, but if they stack it up we will throw the ball to Jason Barnes or Dwight Jones.

How did you enjoy the visit to the Panthers game on Sunday?
Houston: I didn't go to the hospital. I went to the Panthers game to accept the check for the Shrine Bowl. It was an incredible atmosphere. Those players are huge. I got a whole bunch of pictures of Julius Peppers. I live in Charlotte and this was only my second game ever.

Where do you plan to take official visits?
Houston: I am supposed to take one to Clemson, Louisville, Florida and UNC. I am going to Louisville on the 19th and UNC on the 12th. I need to talk to coach Napier to see when I will go to Clemson.

Where do you stand with your commitment to North Carolina?
Houston: I am still a soft verbal. They let go of my recruiting coach the other week so that impacted things.

Are the Clemson commits recruiting you hard this week?
Houston: Marcus and Landon are on me all the time. It is hard to say.
