Two Visits Remain for 4-star DE

One of the top defensive ends on the East Coast has two official visits remaining, including a stop in Tigertown on January 12. Can the Tigers pull ahead of the current leader with the official visit? has all the details in this recruiting update.

DE Tony Tucker Profile

4-star defensive end Tony Tucker plans two more official visits before announcing a decision.

"I am going to Clemson the second week of January. I will go to Maryland the third week of January," Tucker told "Right now I would have to say I am leaning to Pittsburgh. I just like the academic side of it. They also really take care of their players."

What would it take for Clemson to pull ahead of Pittsburgh?

"I would just say it would be the visit mostly," Tucker responded. "I want to see what its like down there."

Clemson assistants Chris Rumph and Billy Napier visited with Tucker earlier this month at school, but the Tigers have not had an in-home yet with the prize recruit.

"I have had two in-home visits from Pittsburgh," said Tucker. "I have had one from Virginia Tech. Clemson has not come by for an in-home visit yet. I'm not sure when they plan to come."

There is not commitment timetable right now for Tucker, but a decision could come before he completed his visits.

"I have no idea when I will decide. I could make a commitment before I finish the visits." Which team is recruiting Tucker the hardest right now? "I would have to say Pittsburgh," replied Tucker.

The 4-star prospect plans to enjoy food and family for the holidays.

"I am just going to stay home and enjoy the family," he added. Top Stories
