Tigers Continue to Lead for Future 5-Star OL

The Clemson Tigers continue to lead for one of the top junior players in the southeast. Where does this future 5-star commitment stand with his commitment plans? CUTigers.com has the latest in this recruiting update.

OL A.J. Harmon Profile

A.J. Harmon, a 6-4, 300 pound offensive line prospect is hitting the basketball court now that football season is finished.

"Yeah, my knee is aching right now. I took a couple of shots and every time I did they fell they hit me right on my knee. I am going to be alright. We have lost every game so far. We are only losing by two or three points. They are always coming down to the final seconds," Harmon told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

The talented athlete is hopeful that he will be able to attend the Scout.com junior combine in San Antonio.

"I am just getting ready for the combine. I want to go, but I'm not sure if I will be able to make it or not," he said. When asked about his current leader in the recruiting process, Harmon responded, "Clemson is still my leader. Clemson, Auburn, Florida and Georgia are my main four."

When does the Georgia standout plan to make a commitment?

"My mom is set on Clemson to be honest with you. I am waiting on my dad," he said. "My mom went down with me over the summer. She was happy with everything they showed me.

"I want to get back down for another visit. When I take another visit they will show me around more. They will show me the campus and where the players live."

A commitment could still come quickly if A.J.'s dad visits Tigertown.

"I still want to visit Clemson with my dad," he said. "If my dad gives me the word then I will go ahead and pull the trigger on a commitment. If not I will wait.

"I really just want to go somewhere that will help me go pro. I want to help my mom and dad. I am tired of seeing them come home so tired from working. I want to be able to tell them they can relax."
