TE Rob Gronkowski Profile
Rob Gronkowski, a 6-6, 250 pound tight end prospect told CUTigers.com earlier this week he is close to pulling the trigger on a verbal commitment.
"I am pretty close," he said. "I am planning to have a press conference to announce. It could be this week, but it will probably be next week.
"I am just going to sit down with my family at the table and right down the pro's and con's of each school. I will decide where I feel the most comfortable."
When asked if he has narrowed the field as he closes on a decision, Gronkowski responded, "No, it is still the same four. I am still open between all four."
The 4-star tight end spent some time with his old friends in New York over the holidays.
"I just came back from Buffalo. I went home and worked out with some of my old friends."
Gronkowski also said he watched the Music City bowl and was surprised at the outcome.
"I watched the game," he said. "I thought it was going to be the other way around. It turned out different."
Will the bowl outcome have any impact on his decision? "No, it won't have much impact," responded the prize recruit.
CUTigers.com will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding tight end, right up through signing day.
