Tigers Hold Off Gators for DE

Earlier this week, the Florida Gators have made a late push for one of Clemson's 2007 verbal commitments. Who is it and what does he have to stay about it? CUTigers.com has the details in this recruiting update.

DE Rennie Moore Profile

Rennie Moore, a 6-4, 260 pound defensive end prospect out of Georgia received a strong push from the Florida Gators.

"They just came out of nowhere basically. They wanted me to come down for a visit," Moore told CUTigers.com. But I am not going to visit. I just told them I am going to be a Clemson Tiger."

The talented defender enjoyed his official visit to Tigertown last week.

"I loved it," he said. "It was a real nice visit."

Moore also said his offseason workouts have already started.

"Right now I am working out and running a lot," he said. "I am trying to work on my speed. I am trying to get ready for when I come this summer. I will be up there for the second summer session."

As CUTigers.com hung up with Moore, someone in the background could be heard yelling, "Go Tigers."
