4-Star WR Will Visit Clemson

Last weekend one of the nation's top receivers took an official visit to Clemson when Dwight Jones visited Tigertown. Now it appears the Tigers have won the final visit with another of the nation's top receivers. CUTigers.com has all the details in this recruiting update.

WR Rashad Mason Profile

4-star wide receiver Rashad Mason (6-5, 210) told CUTigers.com Tuesday evening he still has a few official visits remaining before signing day, and one of those visits will be to Clemson.

"I have two more visits remaining," he said. "I am going to LSU this weekend. Then I will go to Clemson the next weekend."

What helped the Tigers get the last visit for the prize recruit?

"It was going to be Clemson or Arkansas. I chose Clemson because Arkansas is going through some problems right now. Clemson lost their top receiver this year when they lost Stuckey. I also know they have one of the top quarterback coming in Willy Korn," replied Mason.

When asked if he has a current leader, Mason responded, "Everybody is still even. I am going to wait until after my fifth visit to make a decision. I want to make sure I see them all before I make my decision."

Clemson assistant coach Billy Napier is recruiting the Tennessee standout for the Tigers.

"He is always cool when I talk to him," he said. "He has been straight up about everything."

"He left me a message and said they (the staff) are coming by next week. I need to call him back to find out when they are coming."

Several schools stopped by to see one of the nation's top receivers this week.

"LSU came by the house. A couple of other schools came to see my basketball game. Michigan, North Carolina and LSU came to the game." What will Mason consider when making his decision?

"I will look at the environment. I will also see how the coaches get along with the players. I also want to go where they have a good business school," replied Mason. "I will make my decision after the last visit. I will probably announce on signing day."
