5-11, 190 pound cornerback prospect Michael Peterson picked up two new ACC offers this week.

"Clemson offered me a scholarship on Monday. Georgia Tech offered last Saturday," Peterson told

Ironically, the talented cornerback had been committed to another ACC school until Wednesday.

"I was committed to Boston College," he said. "They pulled the offer this afternoon. We had been playing phone tag. One of their coaches left a voice mail and said they had decided to go in a different direction.

"Right now I know that I am going to visit Georgia Tech Thursday and Friday."

Peterson would like to make an official visit to Clemson, but he is not sure if he will be able to make the trip to Tigertown.

"If we can squeeze it in we will try," he said. "Time is getting close now so I am not sure. We are going to try. I have a banquet Saturday night so I have to be back for that. If I go to Clemson it may be on Sunday.

"I am going to see how the visit goes to Georgia Tech. Then I will decide with my parents."

What does he like about both schools?

Georgia Tech: "Georgia Tech is in a great city. I know I like the staff there and what they are doing defensively. Tech has been recruiting me for a while now."

Clemson: "Clemson has great team. I know they have a lot of closeness on their team. I just started hearing from Clemson."
