CB Coty Sensabaugh Profile
Less than 24 hours before National Signing Day, the Clemson Tigers have picked up their 23rd verbal commitment for the class of 2007 - Kingsport, Tenn. native Coty Sensabaugh.
Sensabaugh, a projected cornerback, was just extended a scholarship offer from the Clemson coaching staff earlier today.
"They called my mom this morning to tell her they were going to offer," Sensabaugh told CUTigers.com. "She called and told me and I accepted.
"I feel good about the choice. I am real happy. As soon as they started talking to me last week I knew that is where I wanted to go. I am just glad it is over with."
Defensive coordinator Vic Koenning is Sensabaugh's main recruiter to Clemson.
"Coach Vic was real excited. I was glad to get it over with and I know he was also," he said. "I'm just really excited about Clemson. I first heard from them last Thursday. Vanderbilt had recruited me earlier in the year, but they wanted me at safety."
Coty also said he'll be faxing in his Letter of Intent tomorrow afternoon around 2:30.
With Sensabaugh's commitment, the Tigers are waiting from two more prospects- defensive end Kourtnei Brown and wide receiver Dwight Jones.
Brown is set to announce between Clemson, Alabama and North Carolina tomorrow at 8 o'clock while Jones will announce between Clemson, Tennessee and North Carolina at 10.
