Tigers in Great Shape for Top Junior

Scout.com currently ranks two offensive linemen among the top twenty juniors in South Carolina and the Tigers hold the lead for both. CUTigers.com checks in with one of those prospects in another recruiting update.

OL Dalton Freeman Profile

The offer list is growing quickly for 6-6, 265 pound junior offensive lineman Dalton Freeman.

"I do have some new offers," he said. "I have offers now from Clemson, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, Middle Tennessee State and Maryland. I am also hearing from Colorado. Georgia is picking up real fast."

When asked about his current leader, Freeman responded, "Clemson is still my favorite. I am going to keep my options open and see how things play out. There is still a lot of time."

The Clemson staff is working hard to keep the Tigers in the lead.

"They are just telling me to keep working hard," said Freeman. "They are 100 percent committed to me. They are trying to get me to be the same. They are not pushing me to commit. They are doing it the right way and I respect that."

The talented lineman is working hard to prepare for his senior season.

"I am just lifting weights. I am about 265 right now. I am going to play golf and throw the discus this spring. I want to be ready to play my first year," stated Freeman.

With the offers already flowing in, Freeman may decide to skip the summer camps this year.

"I am not sure if I will go to any camps or not. I already have plenty of offers and there should be more coming soon," he said.

And what about a potential verbal commitment?

"I am not sure when I will be ready. I want to take my time and do it the right way. I am not in any hurry."
