DB Janoris Jenkins Profile

5-11, 180 pound cornerback prospect Janoris Jenkins already has a very impressive offer list that is growing quickly.

"Right now I have offers from Miami, Clemson, South Carolina and Florida," he said. "I can't remember all of the others. I am also hearing from Iowa, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Southern California."

When asked if he has a leader, Jenkins responded, "I really don't have a favorite right now. I do like Clemson a lot, but I don't have a favorite."

The Tigers were the childhood favorite of Jenkins.

"I have liked them since I was a kid," he said. "My dad use to always talk about them a lot when I was younger. He visited Clemson a lot when I was young.

What is Jenkins looking for in a college?

"I am looking for a nice football program," he said. "I want a school where I know I can go start as a true freshman. I also want to go where I can play a lot of man.

"Distance doesn't really matter to me. I just want to go where I can play."

Jenkins also said he would like to play with his talented teammate Martavious Odoms.

"That is going to be very important," he said. "Me and Martavious are cool. We are like best friends."

The star athlete plans to visit several schools this spring and summer.

"I might visit Florida and Miami. I am going to try to get up to Clemson and South Carolina."

Finally, don't expect an early commitment from the Florida standout.

"I will wait until after my season. I am going to wait until signing day to make my announcement," said Jenkins.
