RB Andre Ellington Profile

6-0, 180 pound running back prospect Andre Ellington (Berkeley HS) picked up an offer from the Tigers during a recent visit.

"I visited Clemson on the Monday after they started practice. Coach Blackwell offered me during the visit," Powell said. What did Ellington enjoy most about the Clemson visit?

"It was nice," he said. "I like the type of offense they run. When one of the coaches showed me around I liked the scenery.

"I like the one back offense that Clemson runs. I also like the running style of the current backs."

An in-state battle could be shaping up for the speedster.

"Well right now I have two offers," he said. "I have offers from Kentucky and Clemson. I am also hearing from South Carolina."

When asked about his favorites, Ellington responded, "My top three would be Carolina, Clemson and Georgia."

What is the talented running back looking for in a college?

"I am looking for a school that can help me get a good degree. I am looking for a school where I can fit into the offense."

The Gamecocks will likely get the next visit.

"Yeah I am trying to visit Carolina this weekend," said Ellington.

What are the strengths of the Berkeley High standout?

"My strengths are my speed and my vision. I can also catch the ball out of the backfield," replied Ellington.

Last season Ellington rushed for over 1,600 yards and scored 15 touchdowns.
