Overmyer Looking Hard at Clemson

One of the top offensive line prospects in the Peach State is David Overmyer from Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview. He stars on a huge offensive line with Zeb McKinzey and Brandon Pilgrim. Overmyer, 6-5 and 270 pounds, plays offensive tackle and will visit Clemson this weekend for the Georgia Tech game.

"I think I have really improved in my pass protection," said Overmyer. "I am strong and have a good knowledge of the game."

Overmyer is a standout run blocker. His high school coach, Cecil Flowe, has compared him to former Parkview Panther and current Oakland Raider Matt Stinchcomb. According to Overmyer, has has scholarship offers from Florida State, Clemson, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Miami, Tulane and South Florida. For now, he likes five schools.

"Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Virginia and Georgia are the schools I like right now."

Parkview has won an amazing 31 games in a row including two straight state championships. They are also the number one rated team in the state. This week, they face their biggest rival - Brookwood.

Overmyer camped at Clemson, Georgia, Auburn and MTSU over the summer. He also took unofficial visits to Virginia and Florida State.

This weekend Overmyer, and teammates Brandon Pilgrim and Zeb McKinzey will all be in Clemson for the Georgia Tech game. All three prospects are thought highly of by the Clemson coaching staff.
