DB Xavier Brewer Profile

5-11, 165 pound defensive back Xavier Brewer visited Clemson for the first time on Saturday along with his teammate Kyle Parker and Kyle's father.

"I liked it a lot," he said of his visit. "I got to visit with the coaches. I got to see the campus and the facilities. It was all nice. We went home late last night.

"I saw all the facilities. I saw the academic building. They have top notch facilities."

Head coach Tommy Bowden visited with the star defender during his visit.

"It went good," Brewer said. "I got to talk with coach Bowden in his office. He told me how I would have the opportunity for early playing time. They only have four corners right now, plus they have Gilchrist coming in this summer. I would have a good chance to play early."

The Bartram Trail standout is close with teammate and current Clemson commitment Kyle Parker.

"We are pretty close," he said. "Me and KP we have known each other for a while. He is always talking about how great Clemson is. It was good to see it for myself."

When asked about his current leaders, Brewer responded, "Florida, Clemson, Miami, Georgia, Alabama and LSU are my leaders."

Don't expect a commitment from the talented defensive back until the fall.

"I am going to wait until early in the season. It could be right before the season," said Brewer. "I stil want to visit Alabama and LSU. I have been to the other places already," said Brewer.

How hard is teammate Kyle Parker recruiting his teammate?

"He does every day. He is always talking about Clemson," said Brewer.
