DT Brandon Thompson Profile
6-2, 285 pound defensive tackle Brandon Thompson traveled to Clemson Saturday to see the spring game.
"I enjoyed it," he said. "I left after the game. We didn't stay long. We just stayed for game. I came with my dad and one of my teammates."
The Thomasville standout got a chance to speak with head coach Tommy Bowden during the visit.
"When I came in they walked up and greeted me. They talked with me about when I would make a commitment. After the game I spoke with coach Bowden. He wanted to know what was going on with me. He wanted to know how I was doing in school. He wanted to know how life is treating me," said Thompson.
What did the talented defender tell the staff about his commitment timeframe?
"I told them I wasn't ready to make my decision. I told them I was going to make my decision towards the end of May or the beginning of June," replied Thompson.
When asked if the Tigers remain his leader, Thompson responded, "Yes sir, they are my leader."
Brandon's father wants his son to be sure of his decision before making his decision.
"My dad wants me to wait a little while and be sure," said Thompson. "He enjoyed the game though. We had a good time up there."
The Georgia standout will take another visit next weekend.
"I plan to go to Alabama next week. That is the only visit I have planned right now," said Thompson.
