Tigers in Top Two for 4-Star

One of the top two-way standouts in the nation has the Clemson Tigers firmly in his top two schools. When will the Clemson coaching staff visit the prize recruit? Will he visit Clemson over the next few months? CUTigers.com has all the answers in this recruiting update.

LB Chris Jordan Profile

College coaches from just about everywhere are filling the halls of Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) to see 6-2, 210 pound Chris Jordan.

"The linebacker coach from North Carolina State came by on Monday," he told CUTigers.com Wednesday night. "One of the coaches from Alabama is coming by this Thursday. Coach Saban is coming by next Friday."

Clemson assistant Billy Napier will be visiting in the next week.

"Coach Montgomery is helping me keep track of all the visits. He said coach Napier will be by this week or next," Jordan said.

The offer list continues to grow for the talented running back and linebacker.

"I have nine offers now. The most recent to offer are South Carolina, Kentucky and North Carolina State," he said.

When asked about his current leaders, Jordan responded, "Clemson and Alabama are my top two. I don't know who is third right now. I guess Tennessee would be my third team."

Clemson: "I went to Clemson when I was down in Georgia for a Nike camp before. Ever since that visit Clemson has been stuck in my mind. I want to go back and see why I can't get them out of my mind.

Alabama: "I don't really know what I like about Alabama. I know coach Saban is a decent guy. I have a good relationship with their coaches. I want to go down and see what they have to offer."

The Tennessee standout can't wait to get back to Clemson for another visit.

"I am going to try to get down there sometime soon. It will probably be this summer," said Jordan.

Where does the prize recruit plan to go over the summer?

"I will go to Clemson and Alabama for sure. I have been to Tennessee and Ole Miss a lot. Those are the only two I know I will visit for sure this summer," replied Jordan.

A decision will probably not come until much later in the year.

"Right now I am leaning toward making it after my season. I am trying not to think about it as much right now. I don't want to stress myself out figuring out where I want to go," stated Jordan.

What will be important for Jordan when he selects a school?

"A lot of coaches are saying I can come in and play as a freshman as a big back. I am not looking to come in and be the star my first year. I want to go where they have a few great players so I can just come in and help out my first year. Right now I am just looking at the colleges. I want to go somewhere that has a good reputation so my degree will be worth a lot when I leave," replied Jordan.

The two-way standout is not sure what he wants to major in at this time.

"I really don't know yet. I know I want it to be with something around medical field. I am real interested in science," said Jordan.
