SC Running Back Favoring Clemson?

6-0, 180 pound speedster Andre Ellington (Berkeley HS) will be back on campus at Clemson for a visit later in May.

"I am planning to go to Clemson on the 26th. That is the only visit I have planned for now," Ellington told CUTigers.com in a recent interview.

When asked about his current favorites, Ellington responded, "Clemson is my favorite right now. Carolina would be after Clemson. I am probably going to stay in-state."

Why does the Palmetto standout favor the Tigers at this point in time?

"I just really like their offense. It is very similar to what I run in high school," replied Ellington.

Clemson assistant coach David Blackwell and the staff at Clemson is working hard to convince the Palmetto standout to join the Tigers.

"They just are telling me how much they want me to be part of the program at Clemson," said the star running back. Right now I am thinking I will make my decision sometime this fall."

Ellington also told CUTigers.com he currently stands at four scholarship offers, including Clemson and South Carolina.

"Yeah I have four offers right now. I have offers from Clemson, Carolina, Maryland and Kentucky. Those are the main schools I am hearing from right now," said the prize recruit.

The speedster is tearing it up on the track this spring.

"I am doing track right now," he said. "I am running the 100 and the 200. My fastest 100 time this year is 10.88," stated Ellington.
