LB Duane Maddox Profile
College coaches have filled the halls of Crest Senior High (N.C.) the past week to see 6-2, 220 pound linebacker Duane Maddox.
"State and North Carolina came by last week," he told CUTigers.com in a recent interview. "Florida came by also. I'm not sure when Clemson and the others are coming."
The North Carolina standout plans to visit a couple of in-state powers over the next two weeks.
"I think I am going to go to North Carolina State this weekend. The next week I will probably to North Carolina," said Maddox.
In terms of scholarship offers, Maddox currently claims six.
"I have six offers right now. I have offers from Clemson, State, Carolina, Alabama, South Carolina and East Carolina," he said. "I can't even tell you a leader. My top five would be State, Carolina, Clemson, Alabama and Florida."
Which team is recruiting Maddox the hardest right now?
"It would probably be North Carolina State," replied Maddox.
A verbal commitment will likely come close to signing day for the prize recruit.
"I will probably make my decision in February," said Maddox.
The summer camp plans are not clear, but Maddox will be attending a few combines.
"I am not sure about summer camps. I will be going to the Scout combine at the Panther facilities in a few weeks. I will also be going to an Addidas combine with one of my teammates."
What will be most important to Maddox when he selects a school?
"I want to go to a team that has good coaches. I want to go where they have a great defensive line. I also want to go where I can get a good education," replied Maddox.
