David Overmyer Profile

David Overmyer (6'5, 275), one of top offensive line prospects on the Tigers' board, made the trip up to Clemson yesterday to take in the the Tigers annual battle with Georgia Tech. Despite the rain, the trip still went well.

"It went pretty good. I really like the Clemson atmosphere and the stadium. We left at the end of the third quarter to try and beat the traffic," said Overmyer.

"I got there kind of late so I wasn't able to visit with the coaches or anything, but I went there last year for the Florida State game, and I know Coach West pretty good. He's been to Parkview a few times," added Overmyer.

And what about fellow division I-A prospects Brandon Pilgrim and Zeb McKinzey?

"They liked it. They really didn't say too much, we all just kind of took in the game."

Overmyer has a busy schedule coming up with his official visits. Right now, he's likely headed to watch some of the biggest college football games of the season.

"I'm going down to see Miami and Florida State on October 12th, and I'll also see Florida State and Notre Dame and also Tennessee and Miami," said Overmyer.

Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Tennessee and South Carolina are his current favorites. "I hear from all those schools pretty much every single week. Those would be my favorites right now."

Overmyer maintains that he will wait until after the season to take his official visits. "I'll probably decide after the season, we'll probably go pretty deep in the season in the playoffs.

Parkview High School won their 32nd consecutive game this past Friday by beating rival Brookwood 17-10.

"I played probably one of the best games my life," said Overmyer. "We really dominated on the offensive line. We had over 400 yards of total offense, but we had two fumbles inside their 10-yard line, otherwise we would have won by a lot more."

We will continue to keep you updated on David Overmyer and the rest of the Parkview lineman throughout the season.
